Violin
Wei Han started learning the violin and piano at a young age of 6 years old. At the age of 13, he became a first violinist in the Singapore Youth Orchestra till just before he entered Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In between, he took his Performance Cert, followed by A (perf) TCL followed by LTCL (perf).
Being a passionate musician, Wei Han has been actively performing for chamber ensembles and orchestras. Wei Han also kick started the NTU String Ensemble which later changed its course towards a NTU String Orchestra.
Wei Han is an Associate Principal first violinist and an Orchestra Manager for Singapore’s oldest community orchestra, Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra. He is also a very experienced violin teacher in Suzuki Method and traditional pedagogue methods.
His forte include teaching young violinists, as young as 2.5 years old, making it easy for little kids to understand the principles and structure of playing violin and appreciating music.
Wei Han believes learning music is not just about absorbing a skill or knowledge; it is about the entire well-being of the student.
