Hailed as “…one of the most influential artists of his generation…”, Gevorg Sargsyan is a conductor and music director from Armenia. Winner of the prestigious Sir Georg Solti award, Gevorg has been guest-conducting various orchestras around the world including the Orquesta de Valencia, Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian National Opera Orchestra, Yerevan Chamber Orchestra, Jayakarta Symphony Orchestra among others. Alumni of the Vienna Conservatory (Austria) and Goldsmiths College of Music (UK), Gevorg is a “Master Class” labeled artist of AMC recordings (USA).
After moving to Asia, Gevorg is combining his career between conducting, and running masterclasses and lectures on art and music related subjects. Based in Singapore, he is a frequent guest lecturer in various educational establishments across South East Asia including the University of Philippines, University Pelita Harapan Indonesia, Siliman University. Gevorg is also a member of adjudicating panel of various international music competitions and conductor of Singapore Chinese Girls School orchestra
His upcoming engagements include concerts in Indonesia, Czech Republic, Italy and Germany with various orchestras and opera companies.
