
Ani Umedyan
Violin
Ani began her study on the violin in one of the finest Music Schools in Armenia before being admitted to the State Music College. Ani was granted a full state scholarship for her “clearly outstanding musicianship”, allowing her to pursue her musical training at the Yerevan State Conservatory, where she graduated as a specialist in solo violin and chamber music with Master Degree.Since her student days, Ani has played a great number of concerts in Armenia, Europe, Australia and the Middle East as well as participated in various music festivals and master courses across the globe.Ani frequently collaborates with notable musicians such as Andrea Bocelli (Italy), Philippe Graffin (France), Maria Egelhoff (Germany), Levon Chilingirian (UK), Charles Avsharian (USA), Robert Masters (Australia), Sven Arne Tepl (Netherlands), Asdis Vladimirsdottir (Iceland), Usi Wiesel (Israel), Michaela Martin (Romania) and Victor Correa Cruz (Spain) among others.Since 2005, Ani is a guest artist in demand at important concert halls in Germany, Netherlands, UAE, Singapore and Australia. She has professional arrangements with many orchestras, conductors, pianists and chamber ensembles. Ani is a co-founder of the “Armenian Heritage Ensemble, Singapore”.In addition to her performances, Ani has an intensive career in teaching. She was an assistant professor in chamber music department at the Yerevan State Conservatory and since 2008 has run many violin classes in Singapore.
